1972 Cutlass supreme 455

Finally finishing up on my 72 olds 455. I have rebuilt the motor at D&S in Detroit MI. We are looking at 500 hp. I have detailed the engine compartment to my liking adding old & new. The old was sandblasted, sealed and painted. The radiator overflow bottle is new and as you know $200 new. I know there expensive but it really loks good . The new would include the MSD igniton with rev limiter. The motor makes power at 5500 rpm. I replaced the original shifter with a dual gate so I do not slip it into neutral by mistake. What is cool about the car is the lenght of time it took to find one of this yesr and body style that was clean. Although it is a Cutlass supreme I put the 442 grilles on the front. This part was not as easy as it looks. I ahve the stock 15 x7 rally II in the front and 15x8's n the back which I had widened by wheel craft here in MI. They did a good job. I can post some pictures if any body is interested. Anyways I have gotten a lot of help from people on the list and I want to say thanks for the help.

I agree its violation. The last person who did that we replaced his Olds with a Yugo late one night you can still hear is cries during a full moon

That is up for discusion especially when it comes to myself doing the asking!! lol!!

Seriously if you do not ask the question stupid or not you do not find the answer. So many of the people on this list have been there and done that and asking them for help saves so much time which is really apreciated.

This is how it looked when the previous owner bought it. The others are in my garage. The car sat for about a year and I picked it up in November. It now has 2 dings, but nothing I can't handle. It won't be Woodward Cruise worthy this year, but I'm working on it....

What size motor? Car looks nice. I ended up putting a 442 bumper on the back with the trumpets and that really makes a nice addition. I like the color. Is you interior black or blue?

I just put a 350 in it out of a 69 Cutlass. Very strong motor w #5 heads. Edelbrock cam and intake with Holly carb and headers. I have a line on a 68 455 I'm going to pick up and build as a final engine. Seats are grey non factory buckets, those will change though.
