Best Repro Parts Thread

Hello all,

I am continuously looking for the best parts I can find for my latest restoration. Currently looking for battery trays for 71 442. I would prefer to buy NOS, but I am unable to find the correct battery tray. Who sells the best made and closest to OEM battery tray for the 71 442? Is there a thread for best repro parts? I saw the thread for worst, but it would be nice to know the best as well.

Chances are pretty good one of the vendors on this site has a good condition OEM battery tray.

Fusick makes a nice repro and I believe it's their own part (made for them).....not just reselling some other repro vendor's part. I don't see the spacers in their catalog so not sure if they have those. ILT sells a spacer kit that appears to be fairly accurate for $28 or so. I've made the spacers myself in the past.

Thanks Patton! Hopefully I can find NOS, but I'm going to need these soon. So not sure if I have time to wait and search for NOS.
