Leather Upholstery Interior

Hi all,

Any general preference or guidance on what product can be used to protect the leather upholstery in the '72 Cutlass? Don't want to ruin it...

Thanks in advance.

Lexol is hard to beat but it's not always easy find it the store. My dad used it on the upholstery of his 1935 Lincoln. It kept the original leather upholstery supple for more than 80 years. Armor-All Leather Care is also pretty good. Of course, if you want to take an old school approach to match your car, there's always good old neats foot oil.

Ahhh, ok, good to know. Seemed like leather, but did not get too much time in it before it was loaded on the trailer. Thanks for that...

The 303 Aerospace products are very good also. I have been using them for several years. There are lots of good products out there but Armor All is not one I would use. It has lots of water in it.

The interior is Vinyl. Use Lexol's Vinyl-X. It's in a blue bottle.

Do NOT use any armor all product on vinyl.

It wasn't vinyl, it was Naugahyde. Think of all the poor little naugas that died for our interiors.

Not messing with you at all. Naugahyde is a fake leather that almost all American car makers used to use. In fact, if you're a child of the 60's or 70's then you would remember at least one couch or chair set in your house covered in it.
