Spent this Saturday at a car show at a local diner, Yesterday's. They are a great sponsor of car events. Good thing was I had the only Oldsmobile there, bad thing was three people asked me what it was. Am I getting that old....
Here is a pic when just a few early birds were there.
Not all Chevrolets and Fords are me too cars. I drive a Club Wagon and a Monte Carlo and neither are well represented. Especially the Club Wagon (which is an Econoline window van)
in my area (mass) typically 1-2 olds per 100 cars as well....I got a surprise a couple weeks ago no less than 3 a bodys and a g body all olds at cruise i w ~150 cars
Every year, our local show has 600+ cars. I am usually one of (at most) 3 Olds there. I don't mind. It's a great conversation starter, and every one of them starts like "I remember my Dad had one like that..." or "When I was a kid we drove cross country in one just like that". I enjoy the heck out of it, mainly because even though I might be there with a ton of fully restored camaros, mustangs and chevelles, people stop by me and my driver cutlass to reminisce.
My buddy posted a video of a green wagon doing a burnout in Clio, MI, last night. Wasn't a Vista, but it was an Olds w/ a 455. You just never know when and where you'll see one!
We usually have some Olds' at our shows around the Lansing area for obvious reasons. It was pretty funny when we were driving thru the battlefield at Gettysburg I heard a young voice say "Look Mom it's a Cadillac!" as we went by. Also a young guy asked my wife if it was a Plymouth when we were at a motel in Carlisle.....
Went to a show in West Salem WI a couple weeks ago, less than 100 cars and there had to be a dozen oldsmobiles at least. I was surprised and happy to see what a complete car looks like.

Rock'nAugust is happening up here this week. Saturday will be the big show with 600+ cars. I'm planning on showing two of my Vista Cruisers so that makes it at least two Oldsmobiles.
I had my 67 in a show in Slaton, Texas 2 weeks ago. Approximatly 250 cars, i believe i was one of three Olds there. My car won 2nd place muscle car!
