WOW!! Very interesting! I am surprised that our "agricultural" college would have anything to do with a race car... But I guess everyone was into cars back then. Seems like it would have been green.

I was thinking about this yesterday. I know Oldsmobile used to donate cars to colleges for students to practice on, At Lansing Community College in the early eighties they had a few. I heard that after the college was done with them the had to be crushed. Maybe that's what happened to that 442. I went to Lansing Auto salvage in 1979 to get something and saw a brand new 1980 Omega get crushed. Olds had brought it over and the guy watched it get crushed. Wow... After everyone left I took the Omega emblem off of the hulk with a screw driver and stuck it on my toolbox. It's still there.

Having not been seen since 1974, I'm guessing the odds of finding the car or what happened to it are nearly zero. The car itself is probably part of a bridge somewhere now. But good luck to them.

Yes, even Olds provided engines and cars to work on in my local high school. The local olds dealer also provided courtesy cars for drivers education.

Wow, how times have changed, the obvious is gone! The boy has to go to Lansing community college for mechanics courses and we have to pay for the drivers education.

Is it me or has the world has changed for the worst. Back in my day we had no metal detectors or Police officers in the school full time.

And we had scantily clad women promoting products, which now we can't. Instead, these pretty girls skate through school on their looks then try to come hang in an industrial environment. Sorry, honey, but the amount of people that are both beautiful and brainy are very few, and you just ain't one of them.
