Tail light harness 70-72.

Anyone know if they interchange with each other? I'm thinking yes, but not sure.

Adam, I think you're right. The electrical in the back of the cutlass was identical for those years.

Thanks guys. Maybe someone knows or has tried the swap. My rear harness
on the 70 is a hacked pos. The front isn't much better.

Why did Glenn go and delete his post?
I tried finding the harness (loom) in the GM Parts Manual, but no luck. They did cross reference a lot of common parts for 70-72 though. Mostly sockets, connectors and bulbs. Do you need a good 71/72 trunk harness? I have one if you're interested.

Allan, thanks and that sounds good if it will work for 70. Hopefully some one
will chime in with a yea or nay. I'm not sure why Glenn deleted his post.
I guess we should let folks know we are talking A body's.

I found this information in the 72 parts catalog. Section 13.090.
70 - 72 F85 exc S.W. & V.C. 8779294 Harness (rear)

Hope this helps,

Yes, the rear harness does interchange across years and body styles (coupes and convertibles are the same harness).

Thanks guys. If true, good to know. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's curious. Maybe a sticky on what parts for our cars that will interchange with what years & models would be a good thing. A "This will work for that car" thing. Just a thought.
