alternator bracket part missing

Had my car out today for first time, took it to get gas and Oil light came on. Fresh oil, level good and no noise so I think it is sending unit. Looking at unit I think it will be easier to access by swinging alternator out of way and I notice there is no bracket to release tension on belt. It looks like it is sitting against a plug in intake... I am guessing they backed plug out for tension... I don't have my book at home but looks wrong why would they not use the other bracket and does the rest look right so I can add missing piece of the bracket.

I'm sure I have what you need but back away a little and take another pic.

If you did not have any lifter noise then its probably your sending unit. You can always buy an inexpensive mechanical oil gauge and verify. Your missing a bracket as stated above.
