Ram air cleaner base

Ram air cleaner base
Is there a difference between the air cleaner base for a 350 ram air and a 455 base? I have a base that I purchased many years ago that the if I line up the hot air tube the breather vents will not line up.

What do you mean by "the breather vents will not line up"?
Do you mean the metal tube that runs from the air cleaner to the valve cover breather is either too short or too long?
Bases are the same...breather tubes are different lengths (350 vs. 455)
Post a picture....it really, really helps!

Yes , it's the hot air pipe off the right hand manifold does not line up when the valve cover vents are connected. The hot air pipe seems correct , I purchased a reproction ome and its works perfect. I was wondering maybe this item was a fake but it does have the durian holes in it and look original. I will have a picture later I have it in storage.

Again - It may be the pipe length/application. I believe the 350 OAI cars used a much shorter pipe compared to the 455 OAI cars.
See the pic below showing what I believe is the correct length pipe for a 350 car...the dial caliper is contacting the UPPER edge of the ends but it's not quite long enough to get a full measurement. It's a 5" dial caliper and if it could measure further (open up further) it would show 5-1/4" from what I can tell.
NOTE: If you are comparing tubes with my pic then realize EXACTLY where I'm measuring. If you flipped the dial caliper to the "bottom" outer edges in the pic the distance would be much shorter (4 - 27/32").
