Has anyone seen or have a pic of a 1970 442 painted in the special order Aegean aqua color with black stripes---?? Thinking bout this color scheme for a restoration project ----thanks ---Greg

I am not sure what one I like better. The Aegean Aqua or the Reef Turquoise. I would like to find a car of each color sitting side by side.

 

I think its a great looking combo.

 

Generally you see white stripes, white interior or black stripes, black interior.

They did make 3 color cars but it is about as rare as a stripe delete

I've seen some nice four color cars - not sure if they were original but beautiful none-the-less

 

A friend had a 1972 442 W-30 4 color car.


Burnt Orange paint
Saddle interior
Cream accent roof paint (two-tone)
White stripes


I had an opportunity to purchase the car last spring & passed. I just could not make myself like the color combo despite the decent restoration, numbers matching & rebuilt driveline.

 

Just curious, what is the original color of the 442?
