removing window trim

removing window trim

is there a special tool to remove front and back window trim that makes it easy? i have the hardest time removing it.

Yeah, a window molding remover or trim clip tool. They have different styles, I have the one like the one in the link. Parts stores or Sears tools section may have them, all over online.

The tool works, but it's still a pain. I would like to say there is a magic wand but mostly you have to fiddle with it to get a technique down.

You must become one with the tool Weedhopper.

Cover the bottom with duct tape or you can scratch the glass, don't catch the edge of the glass.
Use a crowbar or ball peen hammer and you can get the trim off from the inside real fast.

i don't think i want to try the RED GREEN method with the hammer. do any of you know who red green is? just u tube the red green show. i love this show.

You could fix it with duct tape and it'll be good as new.

I watch Red Green and I praise duct tape and wish I lived at Possum Lodge too. I don't know how they don't hurt themselves making the show, the guys are nuts with the cars.
