1992 Custom Cruiser seat belt retractor
I'm guessing remove the large plastic cover panel from over the seat belt retractor to "get" to it. Then what? Is there a procedure to use in making the "REWIND" part of the retractor, work? Of course, it is the seat belt/shoulder belt together, if that makes a difference. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

I was checking some of your other posts, and came across this one.
The seatbelt retractors sometimes fail. The only fix for that is another seatbelt retractor. The left and right are side specific. The belt can be removed and the retractor from any similar B body will work. Front and rear are different as well. If you are going to remove the belt, pin the donor spool so that it does not unwind. To unwind it out of the car, you must hold it in the same position as in the car. It may stick once in a while, and you can let it rewind a turn or two, then pull it again. Once you have the belt pulled as far out as you can, put a piece of coathanger wire through the spool, push the belt out of the spool, and remove the pin in the end of the belt. You can then pull the belt back through the slot. Be careful to keep the coathanger wire in the spool. Assembly is the reverse. The belt itself is not side specific.
