There are 5 wks (E) in some months. Yours looks to be May (05).

May 1st was on a Friday in 1970, so there was a fifth full week in May.

My car also has an 05E in 67, and there were the last three days of the month in the fifth week, so mine's a Memorial Day car.

May 1970 had 5 weeks.
1st week only had the 1st & 2nd (Friday & Saturday)
5th week was 24th-30th

Mine's similar - 04E. In '68 in the 5th week only had 29th & 30th.

Although, some have written that in actual production the week count might not correspond exactly to the calendar month.

It was built in the FUTURE !

IIRC, there was a thread about this. GM's 'week count' didn't always match the actual weeks in the month and a week may not necessarily be from Mon-Fri but could be something like Thurs-Mon. I don't remember the details. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in...

Operator error. He "fat-fingered" the addressograph keyboard. Sometimes people make mistakes.
