Per an email sent to this site, this conversion kit DOES allow the use of factory 14" rims -

Hello,
The oldsmobile Front and rear disc brake kit will work on stock 14" wheels. IN fact most of our kits are designed to be used with factory wheels
Thank you,
Brandon Hunt
1960-73 Oldsmobile Front and Rear Disc Conversion Booster Combo Price: $1,898.00
If this be true, it is news to me? Just want to let folks know it is out there.

Yeah. Where on that site does it say stock 1962 14" wheels? We've routinely discussed the difference between 14" drum-only wheels and 14" disc brake wheels. Any 1962 GM only came with the drum-only wheels, and these will not clear the calipers. The contour of the backside of that wheel requires the caliper to so close to the spindle that you can only run Honda-sized 10" rotors with the small-piston metric calipers. This is what is sold for A-body cars as the disc brake kit that clears "drum brake wheels". Installing 10" rotors on an A-body, let alone a full size car, is a complete waste of time.
I'm also skeptical of any website that advertises disc brake kits for 1960-1973 Olds full size cars. The 1971-up cars ALL came with disc brakes from the factory. There is no "kit" needed. The options for engine are V8 and 6 cylinder, yet there was no six cylinder option ever offered in the full size cars in those years. I am very skeptical of this kit, especially for nearly $2K. There is no technical data provided.
