Is your car a he or a she

On another forum this conversation sparked some interesting responses. My car is definitely a she. She can be a real bitch when she wants to (similar to an unnamed family member). The biggest difference between my car and a woman though, is that when she gives me trouble, I can turn her off and fix her without any detectable memory of the problem reoccuring. Can't do that with the unnamed family member.

What if your car is a transvestite and you just don't know it? What happens then? It's going to sue you. IMO, cars are Its. A boat is a she.

Thank you 59-cubed, that's the best laugh I've had in a long time.

Counting the seconds until someone with a big block says, my car's a boy because he's got *****!

Actually all my cars are boys or gender neutral. I got enough women in my life.

My cars don't have gender because anthropomorphism is a logical fallacy.

They may, however, be possessed.

"I think there's an evil spirit somewhere in the distributor cap." If anyone can name that movie/tv show that's from, I'll be impressed.

X2 on the dumbest post. I've seen some dumb ones and posted some dumb questions but this one beats them all.

I generally go with gender neutral, but I'd rather be in a girl than in a dude. My girl said her car and mine were bf and gf, idk which is which gender?

The cars I had when I was younger and even more stupid were all females.
Because I was often told that because of my bad driving I had f****d them.

So I learned how to drive, and how to maintain and fix them. They all responded to the laws of physics, therefore had no anthropomorphic qualities of either gender.

Roger.

I will call the cutlass the ol girl from time to time but no name. Usually I just call it the copper car. 59-59-59 you must be of the gender that tends to complain a lot because this has to be the 3rd time I have seen you complain about the stupidity of a thread. Some people are just bitter.

I've generally referred to all of mine as he-cars, though I'm not above calling them b***h or **** on occasion.

I also think of mine as Oldsmobile royalty- hey, Starfires, Toronados, Ninety Eights and Hurst/Oldsmobiles fit that category, no? The Gray Ghost wagon is gender neutral- I simply refer to it as my trusty four-wheeled friend.

Reminds me of a story someone in the OCA 1957 Chapter told at a Nationals some years ago. They were talking about a stripper 1957 S88 2-door post with a J2 and a stick, and the comment was made that if cars had *****, that one would be well hung.

My buddy calls his GN by his wife's name. When he gets mad at his wife he goes out and treats it like he wants to treat her. I was with him on a couple of these trips and boy does he get his frustrations out. He narrates his driving like he is yelling at her. I laugh so hard and would love to get a video of it. It would be one of those videos that goes viral on the net.
