Is it worth it?

1969 cutlass convertible all original with 350 that needs a starter to start. He says that he is the first owner, bought it brand new.

Depends on how much rust is on the car and if all of it is there i.e. trim, seats, and on and on. but doesn't seem outrageous.

It's not a convertible! Rather, it has a "removable roof!"

Might want to wonder why he's not posting an actual picture of the car, unless he emailed you some, i would also wonder why he wouldn't just replace the starter, it's an hour job, and it would (or at least i think) dramatically increase the value of the car by being able to say "look! it starts!" rather than "it needs a starter to start".

Just food for thought, i bought my own cutlass in non-running condition, and it's been a hell of a treck uphill.

That's what I was thinking but the guy doesn't talk English that good and doesn't have a computer. He said hes moving and needs to sell it and that I could go down to look at it.
