Maybe it is because it is the only 350 in the world built to W30 specs. Guy has to be a total flake. The world is full of them.

Yeah, if I were building a "350 HP" SBO, the Performer (sans "RPM") would definitely be my first choice of intake...

This seller isn't even on the same planet at the one noted by the OP. $1200 for a running 455 and Berkley jet is high but not an insane asking price. Gives you room to negotiate.

Yeah, I realize it isn't clear if it runs right now...

For some reason everyone here in Central and Western NY seems to think Olds stuff is priceless. Non running, core 455's are routinely posted for $3k or more.

I personally think people ask so much because the property taxes are so ridiculously high......

Wife says "sell this juck/car/boat/etc." Hen pecked husband says, "yes, dear." and puts his 350 Olds engine (that he really doesn't want to sell) on Craigslist for $12,000. It's a win, win, win. It shuts the ball and chain, opps I mean the wife is happy he's trying to sell it. 2, he's happy if it doesn't sell and even happier if he hits the lottery and someone buys it.

Joe I don't know how you take the heat. It's been abusively hot up here and working in this heat completely exhausts me. I'll take the snow any day over this.

FYI, I spoke with the guy with the jet boat... Motor hasn't run in at least 10 years.. Been sitting outside. He originally told me it had a W30 intake (before he posted pictures of engine). I was on the way, he went and checked and it was a Edelbrock. He did have the decency to tell me before I got there.. I opted out..

Nice guy but it will probably be for sale for a while..

I bought a Hardin Marine 455 once. It was a G headed 455 also. It had a like new manual flywheel. Water jacket had lots of sand in it. Luckily mine didn't come with a boat attached.

LOL

You know the old saying you can't build it for that much.
That, you can.
