With or Without Vacuum Advance

I'm looking at new distributors (Pertronix) and I'm not sure if I should go with or without vacuum advance. Any opinions please

Thanks

2¢: If you're going to be racing it, go without the vacuum advance.
If you're going to be driving it on the street, go with the vacuum advance.

if street and strip, vacuum advance is still good. Improves economy and engine runs cooler at low to mid rpm cruising. If the camshaft is "lumpy" the extra advance helps to smooth out the idle also.

Unless it's a straight up race car go with the vacuum advance.
