Wish A Vet Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all! If you know a vet or someone on active duty give them a special Merry Christmas. We enjoy our holiday 'cause they protect us. I recently returned from a funneral for a fallen comrade...just too dam close to Christmas. Some of the greatest minds who designed our classic cars and continue to produce and sell parts for our hobbies were and are vets. So to all my sailor pals and to everyone in the military past present and future Happy Bravo Zulu Christmas

Thank you for posting this navvet and thank you for your service. I hope all of you remember all veterans and active duty personnel. Please remember those who are serving abroad and their families. The families make a huge sacrifice. It has been a very long time but I remember my most emotional moment was watching Charlie Brown Christmas in the barracks in Viet Nam in 1969 and thinking of my son who was 2 at the time and how I would love to have him sitting on my lap.

Yup. I remember being in the Gulf and a buddy of mine onboard took a message in Comm. The message was Merry Christmas from my Sons. Seems my buddy spent a few hours bouncing signals from ship to ship base to base to get the message to me. I think he broke a few rules ha ha!.. Even if you can't reach someone oversees or in harms way...give the family a call. Knowing there are people around your family during these times makes the holiday easier for the GI

Special Merry Christmas to SGT. Bowe Bergdahl, He was captured in Afghanistan in 2009 and is still being held by the Taliban. I was in Afghanistan a few years before SGT Bergdahl and did not know him but we were both paratroopers in the 1st Battalion 501st Airborne (Ft Richardson, AK).

Merry Christmas and godspeed. GERONIMO!

Merry Christmas to all vets. Thanks to navvet for posting this! This is a tough time of year to be serving without the comforts of home (USAF ret). Thanks to all who continue to serve and protect the freedoms we enjoy.

Merry Christmas to all. My first Christmas after I was married was spent at NTC San Diego. 1967. The day we had swim qualification, it snowed for the first time in about 50 years. Hope everyone has a very merry Christmas.

Great stuff. Friend of mine with 30+ years in the air force was very toched by all the posts. He does not have a classic car but likes this group. Told him you don't need to own a olds to join. Plus, I told him a few weeks on this site and you will be shopping for an olds before he knows it

They are addictive. And I am for sure that the folks on here would be glad to help him find one when he is ready.
