Windshield Glass? Convt same as Coupe?

So I just had a guy come to install a new windshield (not safelite) and he said he would rather install a PPG or Pilkington in my 68 442 than the brand he brought. He can't find either of those in town (#711?) for a convert but said the "block" is the same for a coupe windshield. Anyway he is going to pick up a coupe glass and see if they are the same as my existing old nasty pitted PPG glass. Are they the same?

68-69 A-body convertible only. Coupe and 4-doors are different. A 70-72 convert glass should fit but it will have the radio antenna.

X2. If your guy can't find the 711 glass, you can get it from PS Auto Glass in Janesville, WI. 608-756-9557. They will ship it and it will arive in one piece. Just bought one about 2 months ago and they had it in stock at the time. I think it ran about $275 with the shipping.

WOW - love that shine of everything!! Great job. I like the babe calendar in the background, too...
I need to think about replacing my WS some day - too much sand abrasion from over the years and many miles...
