Will an SSR frame fits under a '72 Cutlass Wagon?

I was wondering if anyone looked into the possibility of putting a 1972 Cutlass Wagon body (wheelbase 116”) on a late model 2005 Chevy SSR frame (Wheelbase 116”).
Other than the obvious body mount locations, What are some of the other challenges that would make this transplant not feasible?
Here is the frame & driveline that got me thinking about this:

I wonder what happened to the SSR.....I wonder why they took it off the frame?

Oops.....just read the ad. It hit in the right front and the frame had to be pulled.

Sure it can be done...would probably need to widen wheel wells etc...

Probably have to rework the trans tunnel. The 1 inch difference probably is not an issue.

I'd be concerned about how high the engine sits. Look how much taller it is than the tops of the tires.

Just looked the ebay listing, that guy also has a few C5 and C6 Corvette complete LS engines on frames... for between 5-9K.. would make some sick Pro touring cars. If it was only as easy as dropping a body on those frames

I looked at a 66 Caprice on this frame, major work to get done. Figure firewall, dash, fenderwells, etc. A vista on this frame would be cool though..

Not 100% sure but if I remember right the SSR is just a trailblazer frame. If so you could buy a L6 trailblazer with a hurt motor next to nothing and just add a LS if you wanted the to go that direction.

The stock frame is wider, isn't it, kicks out behind the tires. SSR I think is on the Trailblazer chassis.

Just out of curiosity, WHY?

The Trailblazer/SSR is not exactly a sports car. You can get everything you need to make an A-body stop and handle as well or better than this SUV, likely for far less money and CERTAINLY for far less effort than a frame swap. If you've got your heart set on an LS-motor, we can more this to the non-Olds powered sub-forum, but even that swap into the stock frame is MUCH less effort.
