Will 324 intake,valvecovers & headers fit 57,58 - 371

I have a 3 deuce fenton intake with Fenton valve covers & Fenton headers I know it's for a 324.Wondering if it will all fit on a 1957 or 1958 371 engine, I've only seen pictures of a 57,58 371 but the intake port holes & bolt holes look similar also the valve cover holes & exhaust manifold holes all look similar to the 324 .

A simple answer..... No. 57-58 had a taller deck and therefore wider distance between the heads.

Ok I thought it was the 59 371 that had the taller deck or the 58 & 59 only . Thank you

Taller deck on the 371 yes, but I am' sure the valve covers are the same and probably the exhaust manifold's would be the same but not the intakes. Are the exhaust ports squarish on both manifolds? If so I think they will swap. As I understand it, all first generation Oldsmobile heads are the same bolt pattern and can be swapped, but there is a différance in oil passages that change through the years plus the tangle in cam geometry that makes it impossible to swap the earlier heads with the later ones. Someone correct me if I am remembering this incorrectly, it's been a whale since this has come up. Fention's are a critter of themselves, and I doubt if height or clearance issues would be a Issue in a hot rod... Tedd

I stand corrected, thank you Tedd. Tedd is correct on the valve covers and the 57-58 "371". The 59-60 "371" doesn't use the two bolts, they bolt around the edge, the same as all 59-64 371 and 394 engines.
You can try matching up an exhaust manifold gasket for a 57-58 "371" to the Fenton exhaust manifolds.

Probably the shims that allow you to adapt it to a higher deck engine. Very cool look but a headache to tune and keep tuned..... Tedd

Semi-related story- I picked up a J2 intake with intentions of making spacers to fit a 394 when I had the 63 88. I called Ross Racing (before he/they flaked out). He said he did it once, and the juice wasn't worth the squeeze. "Just go buy an Edelbrock"

Tony makes an aluminum head for the first generation Old's, but I don't think Edelbrock does. He was probably speaking of his head.....Tedd Just trying to save someone some time looking for an Edelbrock head for their early Olds that hasn't been made yet.

FYI: When I inquired about those heads a couple years ago from Tony for my '57 Olds. They were about $3200 a pair. I don't recall if that was bare heads or complete. He did say they were good for about 50 or more HP.
