Why are these different?

I bought a complete set of OEM trim pieces for the trunk on my '72 Supreme and the seller told me that they were correct. When I removed one of my curved pieces and compared it to the ones I bought, I discovered that mine are shorter. Is this because the ones I bought are NOT for a Supreme?

The difference is actually the "fastback" coupes (xx77 and xx87 Fisher Body styles) vs. the Supreme notchback (xx57) and convertible (XX67) body styles. The trunklids on the xx77 and xx87 cars are wider, thus the longer trim.
