Seems like we are getting this question once a week or so.

Do not know about anyone else, but besides 442.com disappearing, I receive an error code for WildAboutCars.com.

It's not called wild about cars any more. Don't remember the new name. Someone will chime in with it.

New name is Automotive History Preservation Society (AHPS). Tried that link and still get error message stating 'do not have permission to access site'.. Used to have access then started to get error this message.

Last time I went there it was a pay to enter site. Could that be why it won't let you in? I did not pay. Never looked back.

Oh, so you prefer reading fiction?

Sorry, that was too easy. The FAQs from 442.com are available at this mirror site. As always, some of the info there is even correct.

How good is the info at the new wild about cars site? Just curious if the 35.00 is a good investment.

If it's anything like the free version that existed prior then it's great for downloading manuals. They had all the assembly, shop and Fisher Body manuals for at least 68-72 Olds. The $35 per year fee pays for itself the first year if you download two manuals (most CD's of Manuals are $25-30 on eBay).

I have owned my own domain for years. I use it for file storage and don't pay much. As a companion to here, I could dump scanned manuals to a link that would not change and we could make sticky threads here with links.
