Where do I go for aftermarket parts
I was looking through my speedway catalog and seen an absence of olds parts. Where do you go for olds parts like engine accessories, bolts, bolt ons. Where do the boat guys go?.
thanks, Ronnie.
ps it's for a 425.

Rockauto, SummitRacing, OPGI, ILT (InlineTube), ThePartsPlace, LegendaryAutoInteriors, OldsParts. Often times Ace Hardware has an excellent selection of excellent quality SS bolts, washers, nuts, springs, gaskets, O-Rings, etc. (including Grade V & Grade VIII) as does Fastenal.
Check Supercars Unlimited as well (supercarsunlimited.com for their on-line catalog). All they sell is mechanical parts. I do believe they have some aftermarket items for Oldsmobile as well. Oldsmobile is all they do.

The paper catalogs that aftermarket vendors send out only include a small fraction of the parts they sell. The postage would be prohibitive otherwise, so they only include the most popular and most profitable items in print catalogs. Go to their websites and you'll find plenty of Olds parts.

While NAPA and others can get parts for these cars, don't expect anything for a half-century-old car to actually be on the shelf. Personally I spend about 10 minutes checking prices at NAPA Online, RockAuto, AutoZone, Advance, and Amazon, and I buy the one with the lowest cost including tax and shipping. I also include my time and gas to go pick it up if I buy locally. Except for large cast iron parts like brake drums, it's always cheaper and faster to order on line and have it show up on my doorstep a couple of days later.
Countless times I can call Napa, O'Reilly, or others local and have the parts that afternoon or the next morning. Price for me is sometimes offset by need, but in most cases I follow the exercise the Joe mentioned above.
