yep ... that's what Remy tech support suggested.
Silly me thinking I would get what I ordered, Remy support stated it should have the V-belt pulley.
RockAuto is useless for support/customer service. My only option after going through their cust service website was to return it. (no option to let them know it has the wrong pulley)
Be nice to have the proper item with the proper pulley. A real company would have a phone number or some way to say hey just send me the proper pulley instead of returning it.

Hopefully, I didn't screw up but was planning on using the pigtail and this alternator per https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...estion-170203/
But I am kinda pig-headed and could have messed up AGAIN!
Remy 91310 is SUPPOSED to come with a v-belt pulley. Clearly someone at the Remy factory screwed this up. Either the pulley is wrong or the sticker is wrong. My money is on a mis-applied sticker, personally I've previously bought that exact part number from. RockAuto and got the v-belt pulley.
Any way to tell if it's just the pulley or if it's a completely different alternator?
Here are some more pics.
I have a couple of old alternators I could take the pulley off, (if they would fit). what is the proper size of the v-belt pulley?
I imagine the pulley diameter is fairly critical for proper rpm.
It is. The OP is trying to do a CS130 upgrade on an earlier car. He has correctly ordered the 91310 alternator used on the 1989-90 Custom Cruiser with the Olds 307 motor. This is supposed to be a 105 amp alternator that bolts directly to the earlier brackets and comes with the correct V-belt pulley.

I believe the concern is in getting another incorrect alternator if this is a generic catalog mistake. It wouldn't be the first time that a vendor's catalog has gotten an Olds part listed incorrectly.

Exactly!.....
It's packed up and wife gonna drop off at fedex.
I was hesitant, to begin with, but the parts store price is half again as much.
Gonna try one more time.
Let's see what I get this time.
Tuff Stuff Performance makes a CS130 105A alternator with a v-groove pulley, PN7935-11G. They are sold by Jegs, Summit or Pace if you can't get the correct part through Rock Auto. Here's a pic.

So that's $230 for the exactly same alternator that RA sells for $104. Even Amazon lists it for $134 including shipping.
I hear ya, my alt from RA had broken brushes and it was clocked wrong, I had to fix it out of my own pocket because I didn't ant to be bothered with a warranty exchange, re shipping etc.. Its also possible that the UPS wasn't careful lol.
Got nervous when seeing the same box that just arrived.
But inside looks like the correct one.
All the Remy boxes are the same. Glad you did get a correct one. Unfortunately that incorrectly marked one will go back on the shelf and get sold to someone else.
