In my quest for a 62 Olds 98, in my opinion the nicest car ever built, I once again need advice.

It's worth what you're willing to pay - provided the seller thinks so too.

 

If that car is as nice as it looks in the photos and the mileage is correct, I would say that his asking price is fair. You might be able to get it for something in the high teens, but I think around $20,000 is reasonable. If I were the seller, that's what I'd be asking.

 

I have no idea as to what the car is worth. It is interesting to note it has small dog dish hubcaps and the wheels have apparently been painted to match the interior. I think all the 98's would have come with full wheel covers and the wheels would have been the color of the car. Maybe somebody changed it to 15" wheels. It is a beautiful car.

 

Its a beautiful car. Tough call on price as you could not restore one for that. With all good doc's I'd say its close and you should do what you think is right for you.
