What would you offer.
I've been driving past this car for years. They finally want to let it go. I offered a thousand. The guy seemed surprised so low. All the quater panels had some cancer. Doors weren't bad. The interior was pretty ruff ect. It's a 1971 with a 350. 7 heads

'70 fender(s), disc brakes, OAI hood, buckets, dual gate, sport mirrors, sport wheel, floor shift column, nice grills bring decent money, maybe a posi rear? Lots of money there for sure! Better go back & get it before someone else does.

71 fenders! You are right lots of parts worth cash.

Can you see the chrome on the eye brow? On passenger or driver? That is because the ends are rounded and painted on 71 and 72. A 70 is chrome. A 70 is shaped different on the chrome part not rounded. FYI

Oh no don't ever do that. I bought a damn nice roadrunner 1970 model years ago. The wife sold it.We made money but not much. $200 more than what i paid. Never had a chance to buy one that nice again. It had a new paint job on it red with correct wheels and great black interior 383 engine 750 carb headers posi rear end.

You are correct about the painted eyebrow but if you look at the flat part of the fender, where the crash dimples are on the '71-'72 fenders, you will see that at least the passenger side fender is correct for a '70. Either the factory still had '70 fenders & were using up what they had or that fender has been replaced somewhere down the line.

Update. They son texted back after talking to his sisters and now they want to put it on Craigslist first. I already have an 1972 Cutlass in great shape. I really think I want this car just to have it. I want to get it running , clean it up a little and park it in my backyard next to a bunch of other classics like Mr Miyagi has in the Karate Kid. And if my son paints the fence and sands the floor I'll give him a car. I've drove past this car while it was under a cover for years and always wondered what it was I finally knocked on the door and found out what it was about 6 months ago and I left my number. Very nice people. It was the fathers and he was very sick. He just passed and now here we are. I am in maui hawaii so a find like this is awesome. Hopefully it works out in the end

How much are they going to put it on CL for? if the bottom side of that hood is not rusted out it is worth up to $2400 on it's own. Looks to have the correct W-25 air cleaner base also. Likely disc brakes. I would be all over this car if I were you.
