I have a donor car with very nice side windows (few scratches) but they are tinted. My good car has clear side windows but they have several deeper scratches. I am thinking about swapping out.

Did the front and back windows have tint options as well? Concerned about it looking mis-matched.

I would like to know what the factory options were? All windows tinted?

From what I understand, there was a tinted windshield option, and then there was tinted all around, which included the windshield. AC cars got tinted glass, I believe. I do not know if anything called for just the windshield, maybe the Cutlass Supreme.

 

well my 66 ss chevelle with black interior has full tinted glass.also another pretty well stripped down 66ss i had also with black interior had tinted glass all around.buddies 66ss with blue interior had clear glass.so i kindof wonder if it was for a/c cars and cars with dark interiors.
