What type of Oldsmobile do you own?
#81
Mine falls into the "slightly modified" category. Mods include my self-rebuilt Type-O w/ Richmond 3.90 gears and a Supercars posi suspended by SSM LCA lift bars and Edlebrock adjustable UCAs w/ a sway bar from a 442 capped w/ a W27 cover; a CK-built 200-4R replacing the Jetaway, and a partially installed factory OAI setup (and partially removed under-dash A/C that dad installed in the '70s that has to get out of the way for the OAI). Since it is a going on 40-year project that is never finished, future plans include a fast-ratio steering box, tall-ball joint / control arms and front disk brake conversion, and the piece de-resistance: a cutlassefi-built stroked SBO using my original block (a Vintage Air A/C system will likely go in at the same time). And then after that............!!!

QUOTE=Vintage Chief;1251122]I love everything about the style of those vintage Holiday's - gorgeous pieces of machinery made of solid metal. Very nice, indeed.[/QUOTE
Thank you. I love everything about this car. I've sat in this car and have wondered what it was like when this car left the lot back in the day. Such a beauty!
Yes and thanks!! Me and my Olds have been through quite an ordeal but thanks to a few good guys along the way both on this site and in my circle of friends, she has been brought back to life.

Edelbrock carb is the only thing that aint stock.
Paint is original as well - which definitely is a plus on the „vintage“ part but makes it quite impossible to repaint/touch up since everybody’s telling me the thermopaint will move underneath and destroy the new paint. So leaving it as it is right now is my option at the moment.
Havent found orginal floor mats, so im goingwith the „living room“-style option!

1970 98 LS hardtop, 1990 Custom Cruiser, and a 1991 Custom Cruiser. All pure stock. Always hunt for NOS parts when possible to actually find. They all still have a couple aftermarket parts though.

Restored Stock
What type car do you own?
Pure stock is as it came equipped from the factory, not counting maintenance items.
Restored stock is a car that retains its original equipment to include added factory accy's. Color changes are acceptable.
Day 2 is wheels, tires, exhaust, etc... that can be removed and the car easily turned back to original. Personalization stuff.
Slightly modified is light engine mods, minor suspension upgrades, etc
Moderately modified is somewhere in between slightly modified and full race.
Race is a vehicle built specifically for racing, not legal for the street.
Other is Olds powered boat, truck, or hotrod.
Please feel free to post pictures of your car or project.

My 67 442
I think my car qualifies for "Slightly Modified ", mainly because of the motor work done during it's 2016 restoration. The car retains the original 400 E block, C heads, TH400 transmission, and 3.55 Anti-Spin O Type rear end. Motor has been modified with more aggressive W30 spec camshaft, hydraulic lifters, heads ported and polished, hardened valve seats, and a vacuum collector added to compensate for the more aggressive camshaft. The intake is now an Edelbrock Performer with a Holley Demon 850 cfm carburetor and open air cleaner. Stainless headers were added with complete 3" Flowmaster exhaust with crossover. Front discs were also added.

My '95 CS convertible is completely stock except for an aftermarket exhaust tip and a JVC head unit. It has the original paint and upholstery, except part of the driver's seat has been re-done. The top has been replaced and will need to be again before too long.
The car came to me with its original Delco AM/FM/Cassette and a Sony CD changer in the trunk. The CD changer didn't work so I removed it and replaced the original radio with a Delco AM/FM/CD/Cassette out of my Aurora. I swapped the JVC in last winter after the tuning **** on the Delco fell off and got lost. I finally got to a junkyard last week and grabbed another so that will likely be going back in whenever the weather cools off a bit.

Slightly modified '64 F85
So far transmission 200-R4 or 4R see it both ways, disc front. New foams/upholstery for interior on their way? (Covid-19, who knows when). I'm very much a newbie to mechanical and restoration. I purchased this Olds in 2008 and sat In my rental property 3-bay garage till mid July while my wife beat cancer 👍 but could no longer work 👎. Now I'd like to upgrade the motor, I think. Should I keep it more original? Has a Buick V6 original to the vehicle. Please advise I'm big time open to more experienced Olds enthusiasts.

1951 Super 88.
It looks like my 'Lucille' is the oldest car on this thread. And the thread makes me realise I do not take enough pictures of her; this is a year or two old and previously posted. She has new suspension and gas tank, after-market air conditioning, rebuilt transmission, new upholstery and paint and chrome and the best thing ever, an Edelbrock AVS2 Carb. All original engine.

Sold off most of interior and I have ran it as quick as 14.39 _1/4, and 8.91 _ 1/8 I also swapped the front end off a Bravada onto my GMC Sonoma, and now i have a 64 D88 that will be Mostly stock, kind of a Day 2 car.

I am going to say my youth Era correct mods.
Things that most did with their cars back in high school or right out of school, but may use the features of today.
Example, When I was in high school, everyone added better sounding radio and supporting gear, I will do the same, but I won't be using Jenson 6x9 and a Kraco radio or Pioneer supertunerIII , but the gear made today.
A sportier exhaust, mags, and maybe adding a little more power. Basicly the things kids that came of driving age did in the later 70's/80's to their car.

My 66 Cutlass convertible slightly modified. Prior to my ownership in 2016 it was restored in 1983 which included an NOS 330 block and rebuilt with a slitly higher lift cam, fresh paint and a new black top in 1990. Target Red with black interior. Equiped since birth with a factory installed 4 speed.

My 72 Supreme droptop.
This car came into my life two weeks before I graduated High School in 1980. My Dad had purchased it after I had found it at Raymond P Scott Oldsmobile-Saab in Wynnewood PA, and had put a $50 deposit on it. I had visions of driving it with my Girlfriend, now Wife to the Graduation dance and Shore week in New Jersey !!! Two days before graduation my dreams were dash when a flat bed Roll back came up the driveway' Cutty was loaded on it and she vanished down the driveway to be taken to Maine, where my Mom and Dad went during the Summers. I was to be staying in Pa during the Summer for work. Though I did over the years get to enjoy some cruises in it when I went to visit. This is it late 1990's in Maine. My Dad's rolling tackle box stocked with surf rods ! LOL.
He enjoyed cruising the coastline and taking it down to the beach with my Mom. He enjoyed it for 18 years up there till he passed away in 1998. When it came time to settle the Estate and mom didn't want to keep the car, I traded a pocket watch for the car for tax reasons. I brought the car back home from Maine to Pa where its new journey was started. I just drove it and enjoyed it till 2005 when the Earl Schiede's clearcoat started to fail and was peeling off in book sheets ! This was the start of a 7 year journey 2005 -2012 of restoring the car, one project a year, since it wasn't garaged. I started to show in at local shows while working on it in 2008. And began showing it after 2012 at indoor and national meets. She' has received a lot of love, garnering over 200 awards and also articles in Journey with Oldsmobile. The Oldsmobile Club of America's Magazine. This is the car today. I just finished converting all the lights aside from the headlights to LED for better visibility.

So I own a black 67 oldsmobile cutlass supreme and I want the look of the link posted below however I'm trying to figure out which cragar 15x10 they are. The rear tires are 295/50R15. I found cragar part number 1525909402B and cragar part number 1525906402B. The only difference is that the 1st part number has an offset of -32mm and 4.25 rear spacing. The 2nd part number has -44mm offset and 3.75 rear spacing.

I have a 1966 Starfire. It's jacked up in the rear and has dual exhaust exiting out the sides in front of the rear wheels. I am currently looking into different tire/wheel combinations now. I am always amazed at how many people on here get upset that I have done that to a Starfire........strange. I will post pics soon.
