What switch is this? It's is loose under the dash, still connected, on my 1962 Olds Cutlass F85 convert. The lever on bottom moves but is spring loaded and returns to starting point.

Found it - it's the backup light switch, was attached to the steering column under the dash (manual 3-spd)! Thanks, though. Just have to hook it up again (and good luck there, I think)

Thanks much. I located the hole in the column in front of the backup tang that hits the switch, and a screw goes into to hold the backup light switch to the column, but I cannot find a screw that fits the hole. Would you happen to know if it's a threaded screw or a self-tapping screw (it's thin metal on the column, so maybe a sheet metal screw?) thanks much.

Not sure, maybe someone else more familiar would know. If I were to guess I think it's a threaded bolt.

Found the screw that holds the backup light switch to the steering column under the dash. It's like a self tapping screw (not a machine screw thread)
