I found someone locally who has a 1969 trunk lid in near perfect condition. What is a fair price to offer him for this?

 

is it because you need it or are you going to flip it? if you need it you will be able to offer more. i don't know 69 trunk lids very well but offer him $50 and see what he has to say. is it for a hardtop or convertible?

 

Isn't that on the low side for a 69 deck? It's a one year only part IIRC. I was thinking to start around 100-150 for a cherry one. From his sig line I would suggest he's got a 69 .

 

Hardtop. And I need it for my car, the one on there now is past repairable.

 

Ya have to feel him out.... we all want cheap but better not to insult. I would say 100 is a fair strong starting offer....

 

i was just going by the 72 lid i got from a junk yard for $60.

 

Ya I was just looking for a good starting offer. I think I'll offer 125 and go from there.
