What do you think they are worth? Garage find!
I got access to a garage today. The owner had passed. Here's what I found and need to make an offer on the lot. See pics. Sorry for the lack of continuity in the pics. It was quite cramped and I did not know where to look first!
1977 Olds Indy Pace Car, 403 engine auto 60k 1 repaint, moonroof, very nice shape
1971 Olds 442 NOM 455, Auto, looks like it hit a pole
1979 Hurst Olds 61k auto ; very nice shape
1982 El Camino - V6 auto 63k; very nice shape
At what price can I not get hurt? She already has an offer but won't share.

First place to look is the cowl tag on the 71. SKRYLA says NOT a real W-30. Do your homework. Is it at least a 442? Repo Thornton hood is 3000.00 and bumper/grills add to the bill. Low ball after your research to be safe.

Yeah, that '71 looks more like a '72. It looks like the voltage regulator is on the fender like a '71, but the headlight and taillight bezels say '72...
I'm also VERY intrigued about that Dale Jr. Monte Carlo...

Interesting - there is no external voltage regulator at all (it would be mounted on the firewall) and the alternator is an internally regulated unit. If it is a 442 clone, someone went to the effort of adding the fender braces. My guess is it is a real 71 442 that at some point was wrecked before and had a 72 front clip kind of repair done.

Just saw that link to the pics and agree with you Joe. No doubt it's a 71 in my mind now, and all 71 442s came with 455s. Only thing that suggests partial cloning (it is a 442) is no way it could be a W30 since the VIN clearly shows it's an Arlington built car, and ALL W30s were built at Lansing. Wish I'd seen that link to the pics earlier.
