what to do
hello everyone: I own a 64 olds dynamic, I have invested $$$ the car is mechanically sound, the interior is almost finished, the exterior needs paint but I am not doing it.
anyway I cam across a 1979 hurst olds W30 real deal with 80K miles the car is close to mint and factory.
I am not sure if I should just take some of my savings and buy it, seeing that it is just as rare or try to sell my dynamic or keep both?

I can't believe that Eric missed his opportunity to ask for pictures. Every body here loves pictures. Those are two really different kinds of cars you are talking about. If you sell the 64, you will more than likely take a loss on it. It is just part of rebuilding and old cars. That 79 Hurst Olds is a nice car. If it were me I would probably finish what I started on. But then, that is just me. Heck keep them both.

64 will always be worth more. I certainly wouldn't sell it to get a 79 HO. I'm not sure I'd buy a 79 HO regardless unless it was a smoking deal. GM took a massive dive in 73 and didn't pull out of it till 20 years later (along with all other domestic manufacturers, due to crippling emissions laws and bad styling.) The 80s g bodies are neat, but way underpowered, which is why the Buick turbos were so great in those cars.
In the words of another, rare does not always mean desirable. A 70 442 is not rare, but it will always be worth more than a 79 HO.
