I'm pretty sure they were built in just the US and Canada as far as I know.

That is a compicated question. GM has assemby plants all over the world. For many years, GM would send CKD (completely knocked down) cars to other countries to be assembled there, often using some local parts. Brazil, Belgium & S. Africa come to mind. GM of England & Germany have both assembly and manufacturing & build Vauxhall & Opel so probably never built any Olds.

X2 Although the most production obviously was in US with plants at Framingham, Lansing, Freemont, Arlington.

I think the earlier model year Oldsmobiles had some Canadian heritage in Oshawa, but don't know how many.

Thet started building Oldsmobiles in 1920 at the Oshawa, Ontario plant.

"GM Canada built Oldsmobiles in Canada from 1920 on, but always low-end cars with engines imported from Michigan. The Starfire was built alongside the Buick Skyhawk at Ste.-Threse starting in the late 1970s."

http://www.wheels.ca/article/24904

They assembled Oldsmobiles in Berlin starting in 1927 for a few years.
I have heard of Oldsmobiles assembled there from European members with them but but it was mostly Chevys and Cadillacs, maybe the other division's models were shipped over knocked down and assembled on a per order basis?
This Chevy European history article tells what GM plants did what over there.

My first 442 (a 1968) was Canadian-built. I wouldn't consider that a "low-end" car.

Wasn't there someone on this site with a Swiss-built 1950s Olds?

They also built Oldsmobiles in regina before the war. A friend of mine had two 1939's, one Canadian and one US. The Canadian car was from Regina, Saskatchewan.

Both of my '72 Supreme's were built in Arlington TX, and were both purchased from Charles Maund in Austin Tx by their original owners...ps, I am the 2nd owner of BOTH cars.

Congratulations, it's easy to see why, judging from the pictures.

During the course of researching Oldsmobile and R.E. Olds I do distinctly recall coming across a statement that at one time Oldsmobile had a plant in Cuba.

The Oldsmobile(s) were probably just shipped to Kuwait. Full size front engine rear drive US cars from the 80s and 90s are or were popular over there. Many Chevy Caprices from the 80s and 90s over there, maybe Cadillacs and Buicks?. All the clones from the 80s and 90s until they quit making them. US exported them over there dont you think? Oldsmobiles of recent at least were built in US and Canada. But definitely the old muscle cars mentioned here were shipped over there. Heavy walleted natives bought them or maybe soldiers took them over there etc.
