Red face Well Now What?

I have just aquired ANOTHER 77 Cutlass that makes 4. Everytime I buy one as a parts car I end up fixing the minor problems with the car and I can't take them apart. Well the latest is a ONE OWNER white supreme brougham, with a 403, posi, and had been sitting since 1999. Clean interior, rally pack gages, air, cruise, sport wheel, even the 8track is in the car. Only thing the car needs is brake work which is just plain simple and cheap. I also have a 77 cutlass s (442 body) which I drove in. The only thig about that is its a V6 car which makes it eaiser to part out. If anyone needs any parts drop me a line that may help me decide what to do with them. I still have two others, one has (are you sitting down?) 13.8 original miles and the other has 7.6 original miles. Bothe cars are 403 posi cars and I haven't figured out how to part with them. ANY HELP? I can't keep collecting all this stuff! HELP I HAVE A SICKNESS!

I think you need parts cars for your parts cars.

There is no permanant cure only temperary cures. (wives and/or girl friends)

Sounds like the dreaded "Mightaswell" syndrome to me.

But it feels so good.

Well, at least it is cars you are collecting and not wives...or girlfriends (ask Tiger). I guess as long as you have room for all the cars and can afford the repairs and insurance; you are doing OK.

The way I see it,you just can't say no to an oldsmobile, especially one with a 403 and posi.

I can't say no to almost any Oldsmobile. I also now have the girlfreind out of her Nissan and into an Aurora, and she loves it. Room is no problem, insurance is cheap, (OLD MAN) but I have a hard time keeping track of the right set of keys!

If you have the skill and room to keep them all, you are blessed.
You are not doing anything wrong. Keep up the good work saving them for others to enjoy.

This looks like another fun 77 for you . Drop in a big lump and fly.

Story is, the dealer ordered the cars when he knew that GM was going to shrink the body size in 78 and put the cars on the back of his lot and then later put them away. He never sold the cars just tucked them away. Along with the two 77 Cutlasses was a 78 Toronado Brougham, that also has 13 miles on it. When he passed the family didn't know what to do with the cars they expressed the interest in selling them so I bought all three! I told you SICKNESS! Had them shipped from N.Y. to Oregon and have two of the three back to driving status. But I don't drive them needless to say, except on and off the trailer. I received all the dealer packages, all the dealer service notes from delivery, I even have the GM broadcast sheets from the factory. Infact the rally centers and trim rings are still in the vaccum pack in the trunk of the Cutlasses and the cars are still on the factory tires. I didn't thing that General Tires would last that long! The cars were titled in 2000 to clear the estate but no plates were ever issued to the cars and they were ony driven one time and that was to the old wood garage that I took them out of in 2008. I really need to sell two of the three. But I have to keep one!
