Well, I'm still alive

Back in '04 I was told I wouldn't live 2 more years without a heart transplant. 2 years of testing, 170 miles away, hotels, hospital stays, the wife taking off work, yada yada yada. They then told me I was too healthy (couldn't figure that one out 2 yrs ago?). Too healthy?, which means they sucked as much as they could from my ins company.

Any way Friday, I had my fourth Pacemaker/Defibrillator replaced. Hmmm lived 8 yrs now and should have been two? I think somebody was not correct in their diagnosis

Good to hear you are alive and kicking. Even better to hear you are beating the odds. All the arguments and back n forth aside it's good to hear you are doing well.

Ya know... if we upped the voltage, high performance valve job, maybe an MSD ignition system...now that would be an upgrade for the pace maker!!! So GLAD we still have you kickin around! Really enjoy your posts!

So are you powered by Energizer, Duracell or Diehard?? (sorry, that's a bad name for a battery in this case). Glad you've proved the odds maker wrong.

Heya 380 Racer,

Glad you're still here! That means you will have time to share your oldsmobile knowledge. Quick healing and recovery from your implant.
Best,
Daniel

Congrats. I sympathize - I had quintuple bypass surgery two and a half years ago and multiple ablations for A-fib since then. Been working hard to avoid the pacemaker due to potential problems with arc welding and high energy ignition systems. Good luck to you.
