Well... that escalated quickly!

If I wanted myself a project, now for sure I got one. Silly me thinking that a simple head gasket change would solve the problem...

Looks like a full top to bottom rebuild. That is, if I can reuse intake/heads without major machine work.

Is this a 455 or 425? Looks like it had a lot of water in the oil.

That's the million dollar question

I am still amazed at the fact that this engine would even turn on.

455. Plenty of coolant where there should be oil.

Yeah, only one. All the others are just rusted.

Pull it completely apart. Take the heads and block to a local machine shop and have them clean them in a "hot tank". Check them carefully for cracks. Have the heads magnafluxed.
Then, and only then, will you know if you have a rebuildable engine or scrap metal.
Count on re-boring the block, grinding the crank, re-surfacing the heads, and grinding and seating the valves at a minimum.
The machinist will guide you as to what needs to be done.
