The Weatherman SUCKS....
got to love guys that still get paid when they are wrong 
Supposed to Maybe get some snow up to a 1/4 inch........ 7 1/2 later she is still coming down and continue into the night

This happened to us last year on the first day of spring. "Oh, just a dusting" they said. 12.5" later we had a record breaker!!
The weather people here can only accurately forcast weather in the middle of our 6 month summer: "Sunny and hot with no rain in sight, highs in the low to mid 100's....."
