Vista Caddy
Vista Caddy
Was cruising the HAMB and came upon the post of the Rockefeller Vista-Caddilac. Looks like a very nice custom job. I don't know how to extract pics from that site but if anyone knows how, please do.
That may be an optical illusion from the fins rising up and slicing off a view of the bottom of the rear side windows. The top of the rear side glass looks parallel to the top of the doors in the other 3/4 shots.
Super cool Caddy though, '63? I always liked how Caddy's fins gradually decreased in height from '59-'64, like the fin craze Caddy helped start didn't want to let go.

I am definitely a die hard wagon fan, but I don't think the lines are right on this car.. I'm not saying that it is an obortion, but the flow is definitely not natural from my perspective. Clearly someone spent a lot of time grafting the pieces though. Unfortunately, often hours spent and talent exhausted does not always equate to the intended masterpiece.
There's a better rear shot on the original jalopyjournal thread. It doesn't appear to have a functioning tailgate. I would hope the rear window retracts. Functionality would be severely limited otherwise.
