virtual car shows?

https://www.secondchanceautoshow.com/

Somehow, I just do not see these gaining momentum. I'm starting to see a few of these popping up in my area to replace existing real shows that had to cancel because of the virus. I would rather just donate to the local charities involved and move on (Maybe I'm just getting old).

Yes, if your whole reason for going to a show is winning a trophy, then by all means, stay at home, video your car, and wait for it to be sent in the mail.

I'm sorry. At least for me, the fun of a car show is wandering the lot, talking with other people about what they have going on, what they're working on, etc... Not sitting there staring at a phone.

A lot of these virtual car shows is mostly to get your information to sell to others. It also gives the site in which is sponsoring the rights of your pictures etc. To me they are just click bait.

I'm sure that's the case with many of them. However, the link that I posted was for an actual real live show, until sometime late last week when it was changed to a "virtual" one.

While my vehicles have picked up their fair share of car show hardware, the best part of any car show is driving to, from and around. Hard to do that...virtually.

About as impersonal as a car show could be. The cars are the attraction but the people are at the heart of any show. Doubtful this will catch on with true enthusiasts..... Tedd

Virtual car shows sound lame.

The Cars & Coffee has already started again in OKC. They changed the venue and it was busier than any I've been to in the past.

In Mass that fraud Charlie Parker has cancelled all events over 10 people until 2024.

If you want to look over a diverse group of classic cars, on-line, all you have to do is run up on any classic car consignment website. A full spectrum of vehicles to peruse. StreetSide has a couple thousand cars throughout their various locations. As does Gateway and a slew of regional companies.
