I’m trying to fix my friends vintage car and as usual I have a problem with the door lock.. The latch looks all right.. I think there’s a mechanical problem with the lock itself. Should I call a locksmith?

Yea, you could call a locksmith and pay him, He might fix it, he might not.

Ever thought about fixing it your self?

If you want help from the forum, please list some details about the car and the model you're working on. The more details you can list the better. In fact...show us some pictures.

Its really hard to help if you don't tell the forum what exactly you are trying to do.

Your problem could be six different things.

I think it's a 1904 Curved Dash Model. They always seemed to have door latch problems.

 

Well if you want help you must share the issue that you are having with your car door lock. Locksmith can surely help but forum members can only help if they know the problem exactly it is.

 

Totally agree you can use locksmith but if you want information from the forum please mention the whole problem.
