Veterans Day Car Show Bastrop, TX

I am only posting photos of the Oldsmobile cars that were there. It was a pretty good representation. Met a few people from NTOC that drove down from the DFW area. Enjoy the pictures.

Did Gene drive the 1927 down or trailer it?

I did not see a trailer. I would assume he trailered it. I would not want to drive I35 in that 1927 Oldsmobile.

Gotcha. I could comment on every car you posted. Nice extra door hardtop.

The Saturn Yellow car is a W30 with 4 speed.
First time I saw Aegean Aqua in person. It is an arresting color.
All the cars were very well taken care of. Mine would be the three legged one eyed runt if I took it to a show. But its mine.

Gene trailered the 27 down. He has to haul it backwards on the trailer so the wind doesn't blow the visor off. I had my 75 Hurst there but due to some poor communication I left the hotel a few minutes after everybody left and went in the other entrance and was not with the group. Needless to say I was a very unhappy camper. NTOC members have some very nice cars.

@redoldsman I think I saw your 75 H/O. It is black, yes? It is a sharp looking car too. Those swivel buckets are the bomb.

It is black and was about two blocks from all the other cars. My 54 has been down four times (driven) and placed three times with one first place. It is a lot easier drive in the 75 Hurst but traffic driving down on Friday was the worst ever. Sunday coming back was pretty easy.

Thanks for the pics, glad to see John Bock showed his Toronado, and Gene’s ‘27, I sure miss NTOC, a great Oldsmobile club.

John's son drove him down and back. I was glad to see him make it and that Toronado is such a nice car. Gene's 27 is close to flawless.

I just downloaded my pictures from the Bastrop show. It is the first time I have looked at them. It is ironic the store across the street is named Black and White Interiors. My brother gave me the street sign and made a stand for it. The sign was in a friend of his barn and he talked him out of it. It is even spelled correctly. I designed the sign myself and had it made and am very pleased with it. People love the swivel seats in this car.
