You're responding to a thread from 9 years ago.

Your car looks nice, but the photos are dated from 2005, 12 years ago.

You do live in the past, don't you!

It's not that you are the last of a dying breed, but the road salt just keeps rusting them all away.

Sorry jaunty75, I was in Vermont for my father's funeral in Nov when i posted those pictures. While the first pic was from 2005, that was shortly after I purchased the car. The bottom pic was from this past August when I visited my father for the last time before he passed.

And after all don't all of us Oldsmobile owners live in the past?

Chip-powell, yes I'm very aware of the road salt, my first Olds did rust out where I had to bring it to the junk yard. This one had 39,000 miles when purchased in 2014, I have only driven it about 400 miles a year, each summer when I would visit my father in Vermont. I just hit 45,000 and no rust, never driven in the winter, not after I lost my first Olds to road salt.

Also, I posted a reply to this old post as I saw a sweet Cutlass or 442 painted the same as my car while in Vermont last month. I couldn't catch up to it and was hoping that the person might look on this site so I could get a better look at their car. I thought it would make a great pic with both cars side by side. (should I be looking at the dates before I reply?)

Not necessary, sometimes questions in general are generic and others can learn from them but be aware that if you are asking a question about a particular car that is 9 years old it isn't gonna happen in most cases..... Tedd
