Vehicle Valuation Site

Vehicle Valuation Site
I came across this website, and it seems to address the most common complaint about price guides, and that is how can they set a value for a car when so few are sold?
This site, under Price Guide --> Vehicle Valuation, shows a large list of makes, but if you click on any of them, it will only show vehicles for which they have sales data. The data seems to go back pretty far (the early 00's is as far back as I've seen), and they show a graph with price trends over time.
If you've seen this site already, I apologize for the duplication. I only discovered it recently.

Interesting. Like you said though it's based only on their sales history. I find it interesting that the 1972 CS models have such high valuation, considering they had such high production numbers, whereas the S series has a lower valuation and lower production numbers. Second column is 72 production numbers for that model.

Relative rarity isn't the only factor determining value. Desirability factors in as well, and if a particular car is something that everyone wants, values will be high even if there is a relatively large number of them around. The lower valuation of the S is because fewer people want them, apparently, and the fact that they're relatively rare doesn't automatically make them more desirable nor more valuable.

I understand that but I don't believe that there's no demand for the 3687 body style, especially in the 442 lineup. The lower production Cutlass S Sports Coupe (Aka 2 door post or 3677) has an insanely high price valuation. It's the same basic body style as the Holiday S but priced at over 2x the amount. I prefer to think that the valuations are somewhat skewed based on a singular sellers consignment and sales.

I pointed this out initially, and it's the whole point of the site. It only lists valuations for cars that have actually sold. So the database doesn't include every car ever made, but only those that have had recent (last decade or two) sales and that the site has access to the records of.
