Valve covers ('69 442)

Are these Valve covers upsidedown?

I'm trying to get it prepped for paint. Does the water pump get painted too? Vacuum tube mounted on the intake too?

Thanks
*Pictures of how it should look when done would help a lot!

They are not upside down, but they are on the wrong side. They should be on like this:

The water pump gets painted but not the power brake vacuum line.

Correct, 69 should be bronze. The red paint in my photos is primer. Final paint on mine looked like this:

Yes
No, it's plastic.
There are air cleaner decals, core support decals, the TH 400 tag had paint. The AC compressor had a sticker. No valve cover sticker
If metal, the bypass pipe was painted. If rubber hose, it might have had overspray.
Probably phospate on the fan and chromate on the clutch.

You can get the necessary underhood decals from Fusicks. The fan blade was painted black.

It was natural from the factory, I would just clean it up.
