Vaccume Hoses - Correct markings - 1970 Cutlass

In 1970, did GM use the vacuum hoses with specific colored stripes. If so what are correct colors?. Is there a source for this information. It isn't in the assembly manuals as engine assembly was not part of final assembly..thanks

Fortunately, there is an engine assembly manual covering the engine just like your assembly manual covers the rest of the car.

The bad news is that the diagrams in the 1970 engine assembly manual make no mention of stripes or colors. The diagrams do list the length for every hose. They also reference a bunch of different part numbers -- which probably means the hoses were already cut to length so they wouldn't have to do so on the assembly line.
