V-Belt thickness

What is the preferred thickness of V-Belts on a 68 350? Thanks

You can look up which belts are used for the application (AC, PS, etc) then look at the belt specs to see the width the factory used for each.

The factory parts book says those are 3/8" wide belts, which is 3L series V-belts.

The readily available non-cogged belts are 1/2", and they stick way out of the pulley. FYI.

I'll rephrase- the non-cogged belts at your local napa are 1/2".
