USA made Lug Nuts
I know that in the past I have read post from several about Lug nuts unable to torque but I cannot find the post under search for lug nuts.
Have any of you folks found a supplier for USA made lug nuts. I want a new set with locks for my 69 442, but I want a set that will torque and hold torque.
Suggestions will be appreciated

I bought Mcgard lug nuts with locks after getting ripped off by INLINE TUBE, for some cheap metric look alike but too short GM clone junk ones. Mcgard is USA made and nice, not identical to originals but close enough and safer than the clones. Mr. Gasket makes some that look like the ones used on SS1 wheels, they have the size stamped into the sides. I dont know about the quality or where their made

Might be because of your AOL e-mail not allowing attachments. These are GM packaged. Part number 9591480, never opened, Made by McGard, sold by GM dealers.

I have had standard nut, no wheelock, McGard's on my 69 442 convertible with original SS1's for 15 years with no issues. Actually just installed a set on my Chevy truck as well to replace the two piece stamped OEM ones that had about one cap left on each wheel after only 5 years I originally bought reproduction nuts for my 442 and they were the same style two piece design. I assume that is what Olds used back in 69, but I returned them and bought the McGards and they still look great!
