Upgraded the charging system

I have been having an issue this year on my 72 since redoing the motor (I upgraded the ignition with a full electronic PerTronix Flame Thrower II set up) with the interior and exterior lights flickering when on. I found out it was a bad voltage regulator. I replaced it with a new delco remy replacement and the lights still flickered and the generator light came on during idle. So I did some reading a decided to upgrade the alternator to a more modern (76 oldsmobile) internal voltage regulator. I used jumper wires off the original harness (incase I ever want to go back to OE) and connector. Now everything works perfectly. If you are having the same issue I would highly recommend doing this. I spent a total of $68.00 (New NAPA alternator and wire pigtail) and it took a whole 45 minutes to do.
