Updated pictures of my '84 Toro
I haven't gotten any good updated pics until today.
Enjoy.
I still need to replace the Exterior Urethane trim between the bumpers and body, along with some minor interior trim work, but otherwise it's whole.
122,000 Miles on an '84!!!
Never mind the Aux Audio cable laying in the seat....
Yes, it does have the OE CB radio. It got disabled when I installed the new sound system and I am working on a way to make it work again.

Thank you.
It was owned by a Doctor (original owner) and we bought it from the Red cross where she had donated it before her death. Kinda creepy knowing that I held the title to a vehicle that was owned by a dead woman!
The car is in excellent shape, I need to reinforce the Lower Radiator support as it looks like Swiss cheese. It seems the under-coater missed that spot.....
It is fully undercoated (as stated above, except for said area), it spent the first 20 years living in Florida, so the dash does have some cracking, but nothing to horrible yet.
I keep going back and forth on selling it. On one hand I need a vehicle with better mileage, but finding one (even a newer vehicle) in it's condition for the price I want to pay is hard to do.....

It is comfy. I keep going back and forth on selling it.....
I have another cooling system issue right now though...
New radiator, new hoses, t-stat and Water pump and varies between 190 and 220 on the highway. I have timed the rise and fall of the temp and it sure seems like a t-stat cycle. I will flush it again here soon as well as a t-stat change as it is highly suspect.....
The old t-stat it ran around 160 (it was stuck open)

My '67 Delta has a 180 degree thermostat, and the temperature gauge hovers between about 190 and 210 during normal driving. It rises and falls over that range, which is the thermostat opening and closing, I presume. I've no reason to assume the car isn't running normally. I have no problems with it.

I know it shouldn't be running at 160 or much below 190.
Maybe it's the fact that it's operating correctly for once in the last 2 years that has me a little thrown...
Climbing hills, it will hit 220, then cool back down. Sitting in traffic it will drop to about 190-200. Some of the variation could be the gauge itself, not an actual issue....
I will be working in the Tempmatic vacuum leak issue tomorrow as it is still stuck on full hot, no matter where I put the heat adjustment.... I can hear a small leak under the dash, so I know somethings up....

Very nice. Almost the same color mine was originally. The non-vinyl toro's always look naked to me though, haha.
My tempmatic was stuck on full heat too when I got it. I just bypassed it and ran a cable. Simple is reliable in my book!
New fillers and that thing will be gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

I actually used the existing cable and fabbed up a bracket to connect it to the blend door linkage. Can't remember the exact design or measurements, but once the vacuum controls are out of the way, it should be fairly straight forward.

Thank you all! It is a nice car. My wife have convinced me to keep it for now.
I'm wondering if my temp variation is due to the heavy duty t-stat I have in it now.....
I have managed to get the power seat functioning again for the third time. My FIL repaired it once with a 3/8 dr socket and a couple cotter pins. I keep shearing the cotter pins, plus the drive end of the motor is wearing out as well. The hole for the cotter pin is wallowing out.
The next time it breaks, I am going to JB weld the socket to the end of the motor, leaving just the end that attaches to the gear mechanism as the weak point. So if any of you have a stripped drive end on your seat motor, I can show you how to fix it!
